Improving Cybersecurity for Iowans

Participating Colleges in Iowa

We welcome Iowa colleges with cybersecurity programs to join the Iowa Cyber Hub network. Here are two of our participating schools in the state.

Des Moines Area Community College

The Cybersecurity AAS degree is designed to provide a comprehensive program to develop a skilled workforce in the field of cyber security. The curriculum covers: preserving information confidentiality and protection, risk management, data and system integrity, availability, authenticity, and utility. The program is based on information security concepts, principles, methods, techniques, practices, and procedures that guide today’s IT security professionals. Other areas of focus include digital forensics, incident response, and virtualization.

Iowa State University

Created in 2000 as a multidisciplinary center, the Center for Cybersecurity Innovation & Outreach (CyIO) strives to become a nationally recognized authority in cybersecurity research, teaching and outreach. CyIO represents several departments across campus to respond to the needs of students and the priorities of funding agencies. As the attention toward cybersecurity increase, CyIO is prepared to act on the available opportunities and enhance awareness of cybersecurity issues facing our home and the world.
